Byron Shire Rebels Rugby Club

Byron Shire Rebels Rugby Club is a community-driven rugby club based in Byron Bay and Bangalow, proudly representing the Byron Shire. The club was founded in 2023 following the merger of Byron Bay rugby club and Bangalow Rebels. Byron Bay is one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations due to its beautiful beaches and warm weather year round. Our Far North Coast comp is the second largest regional NSW competition and is very competitive. We field 2 men’s sides, a women’s side, U18s and a full juniors club. We have a one club mentality and are focused on building the long term health of rugby in our region. Alongside the rugby club we also run the Rebels Rugby Academy for junior players and host one of the largest sevens tournaments in Australia in October.
