Rugby Unlocked (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a digital recruitment platform connecting rugby players and clubs at amateur and semi-professional levels.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data transparently and responsibly.
1. Information We Collect

- Name, email address, and account details
- Player profile information (e.g. position, experience, location, media uploads)
- Club profile information (e.g. club name, vacancies, contact details)
- Messages sent through the platform
b) Automatically collected information
- Device and browser information
- IP address and general location (country/region level)
- Usage data such as pages viewed and interactions
2. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enable core platform functionality, understand usage patterns, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (such as Google Ads).
You can control cookies through your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Rugby Unlocked platform
- Display player and club profiles for recruitment purposes
- Enable communication between clubs and players
- Improve platform features and user experience

We do not sell personal data.

We may share information only:
- With other users where required for recruitment (e.g. visible profiles)
- Publicly on the web, for the limited player details described in section 5
- With trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, email)
- When required by law or to protect legal rights
5. Public Player Profiles
Eligible players get a public profile page on Rugby Unlocked. Anyone can view it without an account, and search engines such as Google can list it. We do this so clubs looking for players in a given position can find you.
What the public page shows
- Your first name and the first letter of your surname
- Your positions
- Your nationality and the country you currently live in
- Your club history (club, country, league or level, position and years)
- Your bio, as you wrote it, with email addresses, phone numbers and links removed. Don't include your surname, age or date of birth if you don't want them public.
- Whether you are open to relocating, and whether your profile or club history has been verified
What it never shows
- Your photo, full surname, date of birth or age (unless you write them in your bio)
- Your email address, phone number or social media accounts
- Your town, city, region or address
- Fee or stipend expectations, your CV, or video clips
Who gets a public page
- Players under 18 are never shown. Players without a recorded date of birth are never shown either, because we cannot confirm they are 18 or over.
- Profiles that are hidden, in incognito mode, or under review are never public.
- For every other eligible player the page is switched on by default. You can switch it off at any time in your profile settings, under Public profile page.
Switching the page off removes it from Rugby Unlocked within about 15 minutes. Search engines may take longer to drop copies they saved earlier; we cannot control how quickly they do this.
6. Children’s Privacy
Rugby Unlocked is intended for users aged 13 and over.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is identified, it will be removed promptly.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure infrastructure and access controls.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data.
Many data settings can be managed directly through your account.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, and maintain recruitment history where relevant.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
