About Vancouver Rowing Club
For over a century, Vancouver Rowing Club Rugby has been at the heart of rugby in Vancouver, blending tradition with competitive ambition and community spirit. Founded in 1908 by rowing members seeking to stay fit during the off-season, the Rowers quickly became a cornerstone of local rugby and are now one of British Columbia’s most historic and respected rugby clubs. The club fields two senior men’s teams and a senior women’s team, competing annually in the British Columbia Rugby Union leagues. With strong coaching leadership drawn from experienced former players and professionals, VRC Rugby aims to be competitive in every division while developing skills at all levels. More than just a club, VRC Rugby prides itself on a welcoming, inclusive culture that values respect, sportsmanship, and lifelong friendships. Players from various backgrounds — local and international — are part of the Rowers family, contributing to a vibrant social and sporting community
